With
the call of Istanbul's City and Northern Forests Defender Groups, thousands of
civilists as well as numerous different political organizations gathered in
Istanbul/Kadıköy to protest the politics of the Turkish government in terms of
environmental exploitation and urban transformation within an Urban Rally.
Despite the protest ban of Kadiköy's gouvernor, the crowd started to walk from
Bahariye Street to Altıyol, but got stopped by a blockade consisting of a police
men formation and watergun vehicles. After announcing a press statement, the
protesting mass marched to the nearby Yoğurtçu Park.
